Garnacha and Tempranillo from Alto Najerilla, located at an average altitude of 600 meters. The grapes come from old vineyards (between 35 and 50 years old) in Badarán and Cárdenas. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean in this climate, with cold winters, warm summers, and long, mild autumns, makes grape ripening slow. The soil, mostly clay-limestone and clay-ferrous, is balanced in composition, slightly alkaline, rich in organic matter, with modest water availability during the summer months.
The grapes are harvested manually, then 100% of them are destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ºC for 10 days. The wine is aged for 24 months in French oak barrels and 15 months in bottle.
