WINEMAKER Domaine de la Villaudière

Domaine de la Villaudiere belongs to the family firm of jean-Marie Reverdy et Fils and is located in Verdigny, close to the famous hill of Sancerre with its calcareous soils close to the river Loire. For generations the family has cultivated this 15 hectare vineyard which is now run by Jean-Marie Reverdy, his wife, Catherine and his elder son, Guillaume. Their younger son, Baptiste, will also join the firm when he finishes his education.

The Reverdy family philosophy is one of respect for the vineyard, patience and to maintain the tradition established by their forebears by blending tradition with modernity. Unlike some firms who produce wines from other local appellations, Reverdy specialise only in Sancerre, producing all three types: red, white and rose.
