Garnacha and Tempranillo from Alto Najerilla, located at 600 meters. The grapes come from old vineyards (between 35 and 50 years old) in Badarán and Cárdenas. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean in this climate, with cold winters, warm summers, and long, mild autumns, results in slow grape ripening. The soil, mostly clay-limestone and clay-ferrous, has a balanced composition, slightly alkaline, rich in organic matter, with modest water availability during the summer months.
The grapes are harvested manually, then fermented at a controlled temperature for 12 days. Aging is done in French and American oak barrels for 18 months.
