VITICULTURE
Garnacha and Tempranillo from Alto Najerilla, located at an average altitude of 600 meters. The grapes come from old vineyards (between 35 and 50 years old) in Badarán and Cárdenas. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean in this climate, with cold winters, warm summers, and long, mild autumns, causes slow grape ripening. The soil, mostly clay-limestone and clay-ferrous, has a balanced composition, slightly alkaline, rich in organic matter, with modest water availability during the summer months
WINEMAKING
The grapes are harvested manually, then destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ºC for 12 days. The wine is aged in American oak barrels for 12 months.
