Grapes are cultivated on old vines located on particularly well-exposed terraces of clay-limestone soils with a few gravel pockets.
Grapes are picked by hand and processed on a double sorting table (first the bunches and later the berries). Only intact berries are chosen. Tempranillo and Graciano wines are made and aged separately, preserving the fruit character of Tempranillo and enhancing the complexity of Graciano with its spicy character. Alcoholic fermentation in concrete tanks is followed by 14-month ageing in 225-litre Bordeaux barrels made with 65% French and 35% American oak.
