GRAPE VARIETIES
Made from 90% tempranillo and 10% garnacha grapes, from vines with an average age of 45 years.
BOUQUET
Red fruit notes (strawberry and redcurrant) and black fruit notes (blueberry and blackberry). It also shows spicy peppery notes along with violet and white flowers aromas, which evoke the unmistakable aromas of young red wines from Rioja Alavesa.
PALATE
Silky, subtle and very fruity, yet with a high tannic structure that provides a good body. Notable red and black fruit, spicy and lactic hints, steely notes from the soil with good acidity.
VITICULTURE
Grapes are harvested manually from vineyards of over 45 years old, located on terraces and hillsides with chalky, clay-limestone and gravelly soils.
WINEMAKING
Hand-picked grapes that pass through a double sorting table (bunches and then berries). Only intact berries are selected. Alcoholic fermentation is conducted in concrete vats. Then the wine is aged for 12 months in 225-liter barrels, made of 50% French and 50% American oak.
