Monteabellón is a family winery located in the small town of Nava de Roa, in the center of the Ribera del Duero appellation.
Named after a local hill, the company was founded in 2000, but the wine-related history of its owners counts a lot more years, as for many generations the Garcia family has been fully dedicated to viticulture.
All the grapes used for making the wines are native varieties and come from the winery vineyards, situated at different altitudes and soils. During the viticulture process the producers encourage low yields in order to obtain fruits with a higher concentration of flavours.
For the moment the company, which is environmentally committed, offers wines from three distinct wine zones – Ribera del Duero, Rioja (Rioja Alta) and Rueda. All of them are stylish and modern, besides ¬- what is really attractive - at very reasonable prices.
