Founded in 1994, Ànima Negra is the benchmark winery for authentic, personal, quality wines on the island of Mallorca. Its alma maters are Miquel Àngel Cerdá and Pere Obrador, who have been taking their philosophy of conceiving wine around the world for more than 25 years.
The Ànima Negra winery, located in the southeast of the island of Mallorca, produces its wines in the old "possessió" of Son Burguera. This building, near Felanitx, dates back to the 13th century and from its beginnings it had premises for wine production, originally intended to supply the consumption of the local people. This activity has survived continuously to the present day and has contributed to shaping the island's landscape, geographically integrated into the Mediterranean, and making wine an emblematic product of our gastronomy.
The cultivation of vines, with advances and setbacks, and with an important or secondary role in the economy, has become part of our culture. Today's winemaking work does nothing more than perpetuate an ancestral activity; and it is in this context that, in 1994, Ànima Negra was born.
