VITICULTURE

‘Rioja Vega is the oldest winery in Rioja. The 'Finca 17 de Venta Jalón' was planted 20 years ago on clay loam soils. This type of soil, with pebbles, is ideal for achieving good concentration, varietal profiles, and mature tannins.

WINEMAKING

Fermentation lasts 8 days, with controlled temperature, never exceeding 29ºC, followed by an additional maceration of 10 days in contact with the skins. 24 months of subsequent aging in both French and American oak barrels, and another 9 months of bottle rest before its release to the market.

Aged cheese, pork, chicken, beef, offal, stews, meat paella, grilled meat, bolognese pasta, and lasagna.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommended serving temperature: 16-18°C.
