VITICULTURE
Rioja Vega is the oldest winery in Rioja. Grapes from vineyards planted over 30 years ago next to the winery at an altitude of 400 meters above sea level. The soils are clayey, loamy, frank with an abundance of pebbles that favor the quality of the wines' tannins, increasing their aging potential.
WINEMAKING
Each grape variety is vinified separately, undergoing rigorous quality control and following individual maceration and extraction techniques. Alcoholic fermentation lasts 10 days at a maximum temperature of 28ºC. Skin maceration for 15 days at 18ºC. Aging for three years in American oak barrels, followed by at least two years of bottle aging before being released to the market.
