AROMA
Ripe black fruit (plum, cherry), black pepper and cinnamon spices, chocolate and liquorice notes, underlying minerality.
PALATE
Elegant, full-bodied, present but refined tannins, very long finish, gastronomic depth
VITICULTURE
Grapes from the “Vinya dels Avis” parcel in Mas Muntanyans, Penedès; clay-calcareous soils and Mediterranean breezes that ensure balanced ripening.
WINEMAKING
Hand-harvested, sorted on table; fermented in 2,000-litre French oak fudres; extended ageing: 60 months in barrels, then minimum 2 years in bottle.
FOOD PAIRING
Red meat, game, intense-flavoured dishes, aged cheeses, dark chocolate.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Ageing potential: Very high built for long-term cellaring. Serve at 18 °C to fully appreciate its structure and complexity
