2017 was an exceptionally early vintage. The climatic vicissitudes were the most outstanding distinctive feature of this vintage. The late frosts at the end of April were felt strongly in several Castilian DOs. This year, it was the drought that set the pace in the vineyard: less than 300 mm in Toro. Direct consequence: a significant decrease in the number of kg harvested and early ripening of the grapes.
