Dominio de Cair is the fruit of the restless character of its owner, Juan Luis Cañas, famous for his Rioja wines. He decided to set himself a new challenge - to make great wines in the Ribera del Duero region. So he has been seraching high and low until finally founding the vineyards he had dreamed of in this area – vineyards with old vines, low in yield but generous in character. That´s how the history of Dominio de Cair started back in 2008.

Now it´s a ultra-modern cellar of the latter-day architecture, with contemporary facilities and ideal conditions for creating wines of exceptional quality.

The goal of the winery is both simple and very complicated – to help you enjoy at the utmost every bottle uncorked.
