WINEMAKER Val de Meigas

VAL de MEIGAS Albariño is a personal project by Rebeca Barral, who comes from a family with a long winemaking tradition. Since the early 1980s, her family has been producing wine professionally at their own winery in the Rías Baixas Denomination of Origin.

Rebeca grew up in the Salnés Valley, an exceptional region for vine cultivation. From a young age, she was surrounded by vineyards, grapes, harvests, and barrels—immersed in an environment where passionate conversations about winemaking were part of daily life. She also took part in countless local festivals where wine was always at the heart of the celebration. Her childhood and youth were deeply shaped by this winemaking culture.

Driven by this deep personal connection to wine and her entrepreneurial spirit, Rebeca launched her own project in 2016: VAL de MEIGAS.
