At the end of the 1980s, a new generation renewed the Rioja wine sector. Carmen Daurella and Mario Rotllant arrived in La Rioja with the firm intention of creating a project that would bring something new to the world of wine. So began an exciting, ambitious, demanding and unprecedented adventure: Bodegas Roda.

Roda controls some twenty vineyards distributed in the best ecosystems of the area, from which the best are vinified every year. Roda never uses wines from other years to standardise or refresh a vintage. Nor do we buy vinifications from other wineries. At Roda, vinification is carried out in temperature-controlled French oak vats. Furthermore, ageing is carried out 100% in French oak barrels.
