VITICULTURE
Rioja Vega is the oldest winery in La Rioja. For the production of this reserve white wine, grapes from a vineyard planted 8 years ago at an altitude of 442 meters have been used. Ocher-colored clay-limestone soils. Planting density of 3,030 vines per hectare in dry farming, harvested early in the morning with a yield of 3,500 kg/ha.
WINEMAKING
Careful selection during harvest and careful destemming to avoid damaging the berries. Alcoholic fermentation in French and Hungarian oak barrels for 30 days. Six months of aging on its lees. Racking and aging in French oak barrels for 12 months, followed by another 12 months of bottle resting before hitting the market. Limited production of 1,248 numbered bottles.
