GRAPE VARIETIES
Corvina Veronese, Rondinella, Corvinone.
AROMA
On the nose, it offers expressive aromas of ripe plums, prunes, dark fruit and selected spices.
PALATE
On the palate, it is dry, broad and well balanced, with a velvety texture, impressive concentration and a long finish that highlights the classic elegance of Amarone della Valpolicella.
VITICULTURE
The Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grapes, are the base for the production of the great Verona wines, such as Valpolicella, Ripasso and Amarone. .
WINEMAKING
The grapes are carefully dried to concentrate the must before fermentation. The wine then macerates for 15–20 days and ages for up to 18 months in French oak barrels, gaining complexity, depth and roundness. It is an excellent choice for grilled or roasted red meats, game, lamb, mature cheeses and richly flavoured dishes. It can also be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative wine. For the best tasting experience, open the bottle about one hour before serving and use large wine glasses to allow its aromas to fully unfold.
FOOD PAIRING
Perfect with red meat, lamb, game, roasted pork, mature cheeses and rich Italian or Mediterranean dishes.
