BOUQUET
Very aromatic with intense notes of chocolate and ripe fruits, as well as of coffee, caramel, which gives nice complexity to the wine.
PALATE
Smooth, with lots of fruits and some oak with a lingering finish.
VITICULTURE

Garnacha and Tempranillo from Alto Najerilla, located at an average altitude of 600 metres. Grapes come from old vines (between 35 and 50 years old) in Badarán and Cárdenas. The influence of the Atlantic Ocean in this climate, with cold winters, warm summers and long and mild autumns, results in slow maturation of the grapes. The soil, which is mainly clay-limestone and clay-ferrous, has a balanced composition, slightly alkaline, rich in organic material, with modest water availability during summer months.

WINEMAKING

The grapes are manually harvested, then 75% of them are destemmed and fermented at a controlled temperature of 25-28 ºC for 10 days. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 24 months, and 15 months in bottle.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Recommended serving temperature: 16°C.
