100% Tempranillo
BOUQUET
Aromas of ripe red and black fruits, blackcurrants, cherries and plums, with balanced and well-integrated oak nuances which give way to vanilla and cocoa notes.
PALATE
Full and round on the palate, with clear different flavour layers and sweet tannins. A long finish with excellent fruit and toast notes.
VITICULTURE

Príncipe de Viana’s philosophy is founded on the sustainable management of their vineyard as a guarantee to obtain good-quality grapes in an environmentally-aware manner.

To attain this, They support their traditional methods with sophisticated monitoring technology which allows an objective decision-making in every step of the vineyard management process.

This also ensures total optimization of water and nutrient resources. The end result translates in excellent quality of the grapes which express the potential of every single terroir.

WINEMAKING

NIGHT HARVEST

They harvest at night in order to minimize oxidation of the grapes and thus prevent possible loss of aromas.
The aim is to preserve the freshness and integrity of the grapes on arrival at the winery.

PARTIAL FREEZING OF THE BERRIES

By this method, they freeze just the skin of the berries, not the pulp, in order to break the skin cells where the elements that give a wine colour, aroma and structure are found, ensuring maximum extraction of fruit character.

THE SELECTION TABLE

After a thorough destemming, and before the grapes go through the maceration and fermentation processes, they carry out a second selection of the best berries on vibratory selection tables.
