Currently, Bodegas Bouza do Rei controls the production of more than 100 hectares of vineyards.
Although the regulations of the Regulatory Council allow the use of other varieties, this winery produces monovarietal Albariño wine.
The star grape of the Rías Baixas designation of origin is the Albariño, exceptional for its great capacity to produce sugars (it can reach 13º of alcohol) and its richness in numerous aromatic and flavor components, something that it provides to the wines great finesse and elegance.
The vines are grown in vineyards supported by granite posts made by stonemasons, it is about separating the strains from the soil to isolate them from humidity and excessive vegetation. In addition, growing in vineyards favors insolation and facilitates care and harvest work.
