WINEMAKER Ramón do Casar

Ramón do Casar

Ramón do Casar is located on a terrace at the foot of the Castrelo de Miño reservoir, in Prado (Ourense, Galicia - Spain). Its wines are framed in the D.O. Ribeiro, in the confluence of the valleys formed by the rivers Miño, Avia and Arnoia.

The personality of these wines is marked by a Mediterranean-type climate softened by the Atlantic influence. The slightly continental character, in conjunction with the prevailing air currents, causes a significant temperature difference between day and night, which favours slow ripening, aromatic power and natural freshness. The environment, surrounded by hillsides, terraces and terraces, is responsible for a particular microclimate, with good ventilation and exposure.
